On Sunday, Against The Current rocked a set at Chicago’s Concord Music Hall. It was the band’s third day of their epic tour with Don Bronco, With Confidence and State Champs, and Against The Current did not disappoint. The band played a variety of songs from their album In Our Bones, which came out in May 2016 via Fueled by Ramen, and their Gravity EP. The New York natives came out and kicked off their set with their futuristic sounding song “Blood Like Gasoline”, and transitioned straight into “Running With The Wild Things” and “Talk”. Halfway through their set, Against The Current broke things down a bit and played “Roses”, which is an emotional track from their album that discusses the pain of losing someone close. The band then closed their set with their songs “Gravity” and their dreamy, alt-pop single “Wasteland”. Front-woman Chrissy Costanza commanded the crowd with great energy and crowd participation throughout the band’s set. The crowd’s response to the band’s performance was electric and energetic. They sang every word back at Costanza as if they lives were depending on it. All in all, Against The Current put on a stellar performance that left fans wanting more.
Against The Current is currently traveling around North America with Don Bronco, With Confidence and State Champs. For more information on the tour, head over to the band’s website for details.
