Fans of all ages gathered at the Oakdale to see Brand New with supporting acts The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball. Having never seen Brand New live, I was super excited for the show.

Modern Baseball opened the show with “Holy Ghost” off of their new album of the same name. They also played popular songs including “Wedding Singer” and “Your Graduation”. The set sounded great and left fans in good spirits for the rest of the show. The Front Bottoms took the stage next, playing songs such as “Skeleton” and “Au Revoir (Adios)”. The stage setup was super cool and cozy, complete with a couch and floor lamps. Overall the set had a comforting and feel-good vibe. At the end of their set, fans cheered and sang along as they played “Twin Size Mattress”.

Fans were still full of energy when Brand New opened up with their newest song “I Am A Nightmare”. They played songs off of Deja Entendu, followed by playing through all of The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. Nobody (including myself) could help from singing along to every word of “Jesus Christ” and “Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don’t”. Whether you’ve been obsessed from the beginning or have gotten into Brand New recently, the band played something for everyone.

Overall, the night was nostalgic and invigorating. The alternative rock melodies left everyone in good spirits. I highly recommend catching this tour on one of the upcoming dates!
