Last night, Ellie Goulding lit up Allstate Arena on the Chicago stop of the Delirium World Tour. Goulding rocked her set, playing a well-balanced mix of old and new songs. A lot of what she played was from her newest release, Delirium, which came out in November 2015. But, she still snuck in fan favorites like “On My Mind,” “Anything Could Happen,” “Love Me Like You Do,” and an acoustic rendition of “Lights”. Her production was fantastic. Her performance was filled with beautiful lighting, interesting patterns and projections on the screens on the back of the stage, and incredible dance routines. The crowd went absolutely nuts from the minute Goulding walked on stage, and was still buzzing as they walked out to the parking lot after the show ended.
Rising pop singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha opened the show and played an energetic 30 minute set, belting out a mix of her solo songs and renditions of songs she’s written for other artists (like Eminem and Rihanna’s song “Monster”). Then, electronic-pop band Years & Years came out and got the crowd singing and dancing to their fun, upbeat tunes.
Ellie Goulding is still out on her Delirium World Tour, so if you’re interested in attending, make sure you head to her website for more information on the tour!
