House Of Creatives Music Festival 2018 – Miami, FL – 11.10.18 & 11.11.18
House of Creatives Music Festival took place amidst the tropical landscape of Miami’s Historic Virginia Key Beach Park for its third year, with the main stage featuring performances from M.I.A, Foster the People, Little Dragon, and many other amazing acts from a variety of genres. The park gives you the feeling of being on a private island right outside of the busy city that is Downtown Miami.
The festival created a charming pocket of paradise to get blissfully lost in the music or among the mangroves.
As the sun sets the beach comes alive with quite the sensory experience. The diverse food selection was a perfect representation of the flavor in our multi cultural city. In between mainstage acts there’s time to escape by the peaceful shoreline and dip your toes in the ocean, lay in a hammock or dance by the beach stage, and become entranced by projections surrounding live woodwind performers.
On night one I was able to catch electric acts from Sofi Tukker, Night Drive, and Chromeo.
Day two started off with opposite energies of chill rock with Jaialai and Allah-Las, and hype rap sets from Saint Jhn and B.A.G. (Blimes X Gab).
The festival closed off with powerful performances by Little Dragon and M.I.A.
House of Creatives Festival had an amazing vibe for artists and explorers alike, invoking a feeling of belonging and room to let imagination and creativity run free. I may be a little bias with it also taking place on my favorite beach in Miami, but I was so pleasantly surprised with the experience they created – looking forward to next year!
