“It has been a joy to see the relaxed smiles on everyone’s faces and hear the positive feedback and excitement from our guests,” says KAABOO Del Mar founder and CEO Bryan Gordon. “It is heartwarming to hear that our guests appreciate what we have created, and for that, we thank you.”
The first day of the awaited event finally came and KAABOO opened its doors for all goers to live one of the best festivals in southern California. We started the day at Grandview stage with the performance of Smash Mouth, known for their famous songs “Allstar”, “I’m a Believer” and “Walking on the Sun”.
Then headed to the Sunset Cliffs area and tried delicious Tai food before we waited for the upcoming bands.
After a shot break, the New Yorker band, X Ambassadors got on stage for their set in which the singer Sam Harries amazed fans with his vocals. The band also decided to play an unreleased song from their upcoming album.
Next on stage was Weezer. The band played all their famous songs including their new single “Feels like Summer” and a cover of “Took a pill in Ibiza”.
After long hours of amazing crowds singing along to their favorite bands, the time for the Red Hot Chili Peppers to go on stage finally came. Opening with their song “Can’t Stop” the band was welcomed by fans from all ages.
The band closed the night with their song “Give it Away”.
For our second day at KAABOO we were all ready for what they had next. We started off by heading to the Trestles stage to watch Toad the Wet Sprocket.
Next, we headed to Grandview stage to watch our las two bands of choice for the day. First, Jane’s Addiction.
And last, Muse. Closing the night, the band delivered a hard rock set the fans loved and got to enjoy even more as singer Matt Bellamy came off stage to meet with fans while the where still playing their song “Starlight”.
By the last and third day of the festival, we had seen a lot of amazing bands, had tasty food, enjoyed the creation of various art pieces and still we couldn’t get enough. For the closing day, we started by heading to Sunset Cliffs to watch a band all the way from Los Angeles, LANY.
For our throwback performances we watched LIVE and Alanis Morissette.
The final performance of the KAABOO Del Mar was by no other than Tom Petty and the Heartbreaks, celebrating their 40th anniversary.
