Knocked Loose – House of Blues Dallas – 10.23.18

The Disease Tour

Dallas, TX – 10.23.18

Photos and words by Zoe Dillman

The Disease Tour hit Dallas, TX Tuesday night with a stacked metalcore lineup. The show featured Ohio locals Beartooth, along with Sylar and Knocked loose opening. Sylar played a great set, energizing the crowd with their roaring stage presence. The band is a beacon of hope for those who identify as outcasts, especially with songs such as All or Nothing and Never Let It Go. The five-piece released their third studio album, Seasons, via Hopeless Records on October 5th.

Knocked Loose stormed the stage quickly after, entertaining the crowd with nasty riffs and breakdowns. The outfit has rapidly risen to popularity in the hardcore and metal scene over the last two years. The release of their first studio album, Laugh Tracks, acted as a catalyst to the band’s fame. The band played popular songs off the album like Deadringer, Oblivion’s Peak, and Counting Worms; while still taking the time for old favorites such as Separate and The Gospel. Due to frontman Bryan Garris being absent from the tour, members from Sylar and Beartooth helped out with vocals, along with vocalists Jerel Ramirez of Alias, and Jay Webster of UnityTX, two bands who call Dallas home.
