Last Thursday, deam-pop band LANY brought their energetic show to The Rave in Milwaukee, WI. They are currently touring North America in support of their self-titled debut album, which is set to be released next month. The band opened their set with “Yea, Babe, No Way”, “Bad Bad Bad” and the first single released off their new album called “Good Girls”. LANY’s stage presence was dynamic — lead singer Paul Klein commanded the crowd with his fun dance moves and smiling face. Many times throughout the set, Klein sat on the edge of the stage or leapt into the crowd to dance with the fans in the front row. Halfway through the band’s set, they played their song “The Breakup” which was released the following day and tells the story of the emotional aftermath that follows a bad break-up. Although it was clear that the band was excited about the song’s release, the audience could still clearly hear the pain in Klein’s voice has he sang the song. The band closed their set with fan favorites “Pink Skies”, “ILYSB”, and “It Was Love”. All in all, LANY’s performance was absolutely flawless. Even though their stage production was simple, it allowed the audience to completely focus on the band’s music and performance in general. The band kept the crowd singing, dancing, and smiling from ear-to-ear all night long.
LANY is currently touring North America as a lead up to their debut album release on June 30th. If you don’t catch them on this run, make sure you head out and catch them on their fall North American tour.
