Florence and the Machine showered DC with 2 nights of their High As Hope Tour this past weekend. The South London crew played a beautiful set from early songs like, ‘Between Two Lungs’ to recent favorites like ‘Patricia’ and ‘The End of Love’. Welch’s energy coursed through the venue spreading a message of hope and love in dark times. During ‘Dog Days Are Over’, Welch asked the crowd to make themselves extremely vulnerable and put away their phones as a gesture toward living in the moment. Towards the end of the show, Welch boldly jumped into the crowd for a powerful performance of ‘What Kind of Man’. Holding onto fans and accepting gifts, Welch thanked the crowd for their generosity before ending the night out with an encore of ‘Big God’ and ‘Shake it Out’. Welch’s powerful vocals combined with her skilled band and visual set made for a beautifully memorable night in DC. Check out our photos from the night along with a special FATM playlist to enjoy!
