The festival season is upon us, leading to lineup announcements galore! Today, Riot Fest announced their first wave of lineup announcements for Denver’s Riot Fest and Rodeo, as well as Chicago’s Riot Fest and Carnival. Unfortunately for our Canadian friends, Riot Fest Toronto won’t be happening this year. Riot Fest: it’s more than just a punk rock festival.
This year’s announcements are huge, and filled with incredible artists! Ween, Death Cab For Cutie, Descendents, Thursday, Motion City Soundtrack and Underoath are also set to perform at both shows this year. Motion City Soundtrack will be playing some of their last shows ever, while Underoath and Thursday will be performing reunion sets.
Select artists will be performing some of their albums in full, like The Hold Steady performing Boys and Girls In America, which turns ten in October. They’re set to perform at both Riot Fests. In Denver, Jane’s Addiction will be performing Ritual de lo habitual in full. In Chicago, Social Distortion will be performing White Light, White Heat, White Trash, which is also celebrating its tenth birthday this year.
