In the heart of Seattle, located in a small underground venue named Barboza, the crowd began to scurry in and make their way towards the stage. Eager fans patiently waited for Kelsey Byrne, also known by her stage name: VÉRITÉ. Two openers supported her: Jamie Aux and Lost Boy Crow. Both had very unique sounds. Lost Boy Crow really got the crowd moving with an energetic upbeat set of sounds that placed the tone for the rest of the evening.

As VÉRITÉ came out onto the stage, everyone instantly recognized her, which was surprising. Although she is still an “up and coming” artist, she definitely has a fan base out here in the Pacific Northwest. With her pop sounding elegance, she danced all over the stage and had amazing energy throughout her performance. As she sang two of her most popular hits “Strange Enough” and “Underdressed,” it was as though everyone knew all the lyrics. I had to set my camera down for a second and just feel the happiness of the atmosphere. Everyone was here for the same reason: to enjoy the show and have fun. VÉRITÉ really made that happen.

If you haven’t had a chance, be sure to check out her most recent EP Living. You can find the EP on iTunes, Spotify, and Soundcloud.
