Tuesday night, the We Were Here Tour graced Atlanta, GA. Originally set to take place in Heaven at The Masquerade, the show was later moved to Center Stage as renovations in Heaven remained underway. A bigger venue meant the release of more tickets, and still the crowd packed out Center Stage for one unforgettable night.
DCF took the stage as fans piled in and warmed up for the night. The Toronto-based one-man pop show played a chill set that ended with a laid-back acoustic rendition of Paramore’s “Misery Business.” Chase Atlantic was second to take the stage. Although their set started slowly with some technical difficulties, that didn’t stop anyone in the room from having fun for the rest of their set.
Closing out the night was electropop musician Lights. Her set was comprised of an amalgamation of many eras of her career, from her most recent album Skin & Earth to her first full-length The Listening. The setlist was a satisfying mixture of both upbeat and slower songs, and the singer even took the time to perform a mini acoustic set of some of her tracks before picking things back up. Colorful lights and visuals accompanied the songs and really gave the set the extra kick to go above and beyond expectations. A large screen in the backdrop displayed setlist-oriented visuals, including Lights’s own artwork from her Skin & Earth comics to really give fans an immersive experience.
