Earlier this year, Young The Giant released their  third studio album ‘Home of The Strange’ and few weeks later announced the ‘Home of the Strange’ Tour to promote their album.

The five-piece band from California comprises of Sameer Gadhia, Jacob Tilley, Eric Cannata, Payam Doostzadeh, and Francois Comtois.

Young The Giant played their last date of the ‘Home of the Strange’ Tour last night at the beautiful venue of The Lawn at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, TX.

With Joywave and Cold War Kids having played energetic shows earlier, the crowd needs no more hyping up and all that was left was for Young The Giant to come on. As the stage goes dark and each member making their way onto the stage, cheers grew louder and louder, saving the loudest cheer for Sameer Gadhia who eventually emerged in his iconic yellow jumpsuit through the lights and smoke.

The band got the crowd going right from the start with ‘Amerika’, the first track off the ‘Home of the Strange’ album. As this was a tour to promote their third album, most of the setlist consists of songs off their new tracks with a few crowd favorite choices from their previous albums like ‘Firelight’, ‘Mind Over Matter’, ‘Cough Syrup’ and a few others.

Young the Giant ended the sold out show, and the tour, with ‘Home of the Strange’ to a crowd yearning for more, but otherwise satisfied.
